DevOps Engineer, On Premises & Cloud


THE PERSON

You have a passion for learning. You are ready to understand how IT infrastructure works and delivers value to Tech companies. You like taking responsibility for end-to-end outcomes of your efforts. You want to know how IT builds great services from hardware, software, people and processes within a high-tech organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop automation software in python or other equivalent scripting language.

  • Install/Configure/Support Linux OS and data infrastructure.

  • Create web service/front-end for data analysis/workflows.

  • Help install/configure hardware within office/datacenter spaces.

  • Help build application services for IT, using cloud technologies.

  • Work with internal customers to provide support and troubleshooting for IT projects.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong emphasis in programming skills using Python, Perl, Bash/Shell scripting, PHP and MySQL

  • Knowledge of HPC environments including cloud providers like Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Partners

  • Desire to learn new technologies to support large scale computing environments

  • Communication and leadership skills to work in a global support organization


Additional skills to support Engineering Design Automation teams are very desirable but not required:

  • HPC Job scheduling technology such as IBM LSF or SLURM

  • Data center management technologies such as Redfish and other open-source server management tools

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Cacti or IBM RTM, Kabana, or other data visualization technologies

  • Large cluster management tools such as: CFengine, Puppet.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in EE, Computer Science, or relevant field and/or related experience.

COMPENSATION RANGE & BENEFITS:

Expected to range from 90,000.00to 130,000.00, commensurate with experience and specific skill sets. Benefits offered are described here<>.
