The Pfizer Digital Customer and Commercial Creation Center team creates comprehensive technology solutions for our external customers. This includes all digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & devices) products, platforms, services and experiences in service of:

Solutions teams within the Customer and Commercial Creation Center are driven to ensure that every health system stakeholder is given easy access to the information and tools they need to manage the best possible outcome for patients.



Opportunities exist for the Customer and Commercial Creation Center in many disciplines including web, mobile, artificial intelligence, and the electronic medical record (EMR) space to empower our stakeholders through seamless user experiences to support the detection, diagnosis, access and adherence for patients in their health journeys.



We seek qualified and committed individuals to join our mobile platform engineering team in our mission to fulfill our company's purpose as we advance breakthroughs that change patients' lives by ensuring they have access to quality mobile apps and digital services that help with access to Pfizer's medicines and vaccines.



**Role Summary:**



We are looking for a mobile-experienced platform/product lead or senior engineer to join our mobile platform team. This platform supports hundreds of existing iOS and Android apps and is core to our ability to develop new apps and maintain those that exist at global scale. We work with both natively developed apps and increasingly apps developed using hybrid technology (Ionic) and also PWAs.



What You Will Achieve / Role Responsibilities



You will harness your technical skills and knowledge of mobile app delivery processes to help lead the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of our mobile application development platform.



**Responsibilities**



You will lead teams of mobile engineers, CI/DevOps engineers, scrum masters, technical writers and product owners to:



+ Develop the platform roadmap in line with business objectives and wider needs. You will anticipate demand and changes to Pfizer's mobile capability needs based on industry trends and engage with client partners and stakeholders to establish roadmaps meeting current and future needs.

+ Influence and steer technology decisions in the mobile space based on industry best practice, Pfizer capabilities and roadmap direction.

+ Constantly iterate and incrementally improve our platform products, processes and services, balancing demands from multiple stakeholder groups.

+ Provide financial stewardship for the budget and resources devoted to the support and management of the mobile platform.

+ Understand new requirements and new technologies and help guide the problem solving and refinement/planning for what our teams need to implement

+ Work with others to foster a high performing and caring culture based on DevOps metrics and feedback loops

+ Embrace a DevOps mentality and ensure the model's success, building a culture of shared responsibility and transparency leading to higher quality and quicker delivery of output.

+ Leverage industry best practice and experience to ensure that security is embedded into operating practices.

+ Understand our mobile platform and its place in our organisation. Lead the team to ensure they can decompose functional and technical requirements to tackle the complex challenges.

+ Support the practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and releasing.

+ Establish close partnerships with relevant Platform Engineering and Operations colleagues to ensure alignment in all areas of development strategy, process, operational needs, DevOps culture and other areas relevant to excellence in the asset lifecycle of assets in the mobile space.



**Qualifications**



MUST HAVE



+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or higher

+ 10+ years' experience in the mobile app development industry as engineer, project manager or other related delivery professional. A keen, demonstrable career interest in mobile, the trends, the challenges and the opportunities is a must.

+ Evidence of increasing responsibility designing, delivering or maintaining large-scale, global software solutions

+ Excellentknowledge of the practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing.

+ Good experience and knowledge of operating in a DevOps environment

+ Good experience and knowledge of operating with Agile processes

+ Good team and people management experience in the pursuit of high performance software delivery outputs

+ Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences

+ Experience with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), GitHub, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and cloud applications



NICE TO HAVE



+ Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

+ Experience working in information technology within the pharmaceutical industry

+ Business analysis and user experience skills



You will need to demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
