KPMG is currently seeking a Director in Technology Enablement for our Consulting (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.


Responsibilities:


+ Serve as a seasoned key advisor across our client base to drive the architecture and design of comprehensive modern solutions for strategic business and technology objectives, typically tied to growth or optimization ambitions at the enterprise or business unit level

+ Act as a primary team interface with various levels of client executives, including Chief Technology, Information, Data and Digital Officers

+ Produce conceptual and logical architecture blueprints through a linkage between client and user value chains, process flows, applications, data schemas, integrations and overall IT capabilities. Ability to articulate how capabilities should reside and operate together, including infrastructure, hardware, software, cloud, data warehouse and delivery

+ Collaborate with engagement delivery teams in setting the technology strategy on transformation initiatives, with experience in next-gen ecosystems including open source concepts, API's, micro-services, web and data services

+ Contribute to determining technical and operational solutions, including build vs. buy decisions relative to implementation feasibility, benefits and costs as tied to business and technology objectives

+ Act as an industry advisor on top technology trends, including a deep understanding of vendor product capabilities and usage rates across the industry to help shape client recommendations and bring a culture of learning and innovation to client and internal teams


Qualifications:


+ Minimum ten years work of recent experience in a client-facing strategy or industry delivery role at a major strategy firm, systems integrator, Big 4 firm

+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or relevant work experience. Master's degree is preferred

+ Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and delivering large scale IT change and comfort in working in challenging client situations with ability to balance strategic vision and tactical delivery needs; experience designing and executing architecture governance, designing large-scale distributed systems, developing technology roadmaps and performing current state architecture assessments and expertise in both green field architecture and modernizing legacy and large-scale enterprise IT

+ Knowledge of and experience in on-premise and cloud software and systems architecture, including containers, container orchestration, API gateway/service mesh patterns and functions-as-a-service; experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and knowledge of DevOps and SRE practices, including delivery pipelines; continual approach to learning new patterns, technologies and skills and excellent communication and influencing skills, including ability to identify, evaluate and articulate options, trade-offs and recommendations

+ Ability to travel up to 80%
