Reengineer the Close is a Financial Management Transformation initiative to reimagine our approach to financial close processes and reporting. This role requires understanding of diverse technology solutions, IT service and Agile way of working. The ideal candidate will leverage their technology skills to become a trusted technology partner for the Financial Management units we support.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead team of developers to deliver high-quality business outcomes

  • Coach and educate team on industry trends and emerging technologies

  • Foster an Agile environment of high-energy, high collaboration and customer focus

  • Collaborate with global technology partners, architects, chief product owner, product owners and team members to drive outcomes

  • Design the overall technological architecture of the product with the support of the team

  • Guide teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment, and help to interpret technology strategy into consumable units of work deployed to the teams

  • Identify processes creating tech debt and re-engineer them through automation to reduce cost and execution time.

  • Demonstrating experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a test and learn mentality


Qualifications:

  • Degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in the development and design of complex applications with 2+ years managerial experience

  • Worked in Agile development environment, Knowledge of DevOps, and CI/CD pipeline

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and object-oriented architecture skills. Experience in working with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, and AWS cloud technologies like Redshift, S3, Glue and Containers

  • Experience in managing projects with high data volume. Utilized data integration techniques like Data capturing, federation, virtualization and providing Data as a Service

  • Understanding of data quality practices like data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, PySpark and working with large datasets packages like Pandas and Numpy is strongly preferred

  • Experience with self-services tools like RPA, ETL, Power BI and Tableau is a plus

  • Understanding of financial, Investment or insurance systems is a plus
