Summary of Duties:
A minimally experienced electrical engineer is sought to provide engineering support to highly technical and advanced design and manufacturing processes through circuit architecture and troubleshooting
The candidate will be expected to perform production process development, evaluation, and quality control functions on complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to technical problems
Apply mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives
The engineer will exercise latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
Executes, participates in, and coordinates completion of tasks within larger projects with responsibility for completion of tasking on schedule
Assists teams in the design and/or project management of new and current projects, products, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of senior level engineers or management Contributes in the development of test procedures and performance of routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work
Evaluates product opportunities for defect prevention
Writes technical reports on results and conclusions drawn from experiments and incorporates findings in formal specifications
You Must Have:
US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US security clearances and accesses
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited program/institution
Two or more years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical activities
We Value:
Active US government clearances
Experience preparing evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, and makes recommendations for improvements
Maturity in analyzing and outlining complex circuits to explain functionality to non-technical audiences
Power systems experience including switching regulators, microcontroller/FPGA design, and industrial controls
Reed-Solomon error correction implementation, Kalman filter applications, and practice with spread spectrum algorithm operations
Maturity in analog and/or digital circuit design and legacy product evaluation methods.
Skills in analyzing product with IDA Pro and/ Ghidra
Experience developing hardware and/or software test plans and procedures for product qualification
Understanding of algorithmic conceptualization and implementation
Competence with any PCB design studio (ORCAD, Mentor, Altium) and simulation software (P-Spice, LTSpice, Ansoft etc)
Capability with engineering tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc
Proficiency with field programmable gate array (FPGA) design, programming, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with digital signal processing
Outstanding interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas to other team members and customer representatives of various technical backgrounds
Ability to work well in an inclusive, diverse organization, partnering with a variety of internal and external customers
Proactive and dedicated, able to prioritize multiple tasks and changing priorities
