The Senior Electrical Engineer / Ingenieur will be responsible for electrical and mechatronics engineering aspects of a surgical robotics system, with a particular focus on electronics for controlling joint actuators..
**A Day in the Life**
Design, verify and document electrical circuits controlling a surgical robot. Circuitry will involve sensor frontends with differential amplifiers as well as SoC with FPGA and ARM processing parts and high speed memory like DDR3.
Design models and execute simulations, analyze results, develop and document test procedures and protocols
Design, test and debug many-layer custom printed circuit boards
Prepare and participate in design reviews
Collaborate with external partners on design and production of electronics
**Must Haves**
A B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3 years of relevant experience in digital and analog circuit design
Ability to review PCB designs, fabrication/assembly data and to bring up, debug and test custom designed electronics
Fluency English in writing and in speech
Independent and self-motivated a self-starter with an autonomous working style
Skills in strategic thinking, problem solving attitude, good planning and time management
Ability to work in teams we are looking for a teamplayer!
**Nice to Haves**
Knowledge of embedded software development
Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog (VHDL preferred)
Hands-on experience with medical, surgical or safety-critical devices/instruments, medical product development, regulatory process, safety
Controls knowledge
