Email Marketing Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
Cross uses email as our primary communication tool with our customers. This includes email newsletters, one-off email blasts and automated campaigns using workflows. A critical part of the Cross marketing team, the email marketing coordinator will be responsible for gathering, designing and executing all marketing emails using our email marketing software, Active Campaign.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Gather content for the six monthly email newsletters, design them and send them out. Design and send out one-off email blasts as necessary. Design and execute workflows in Active Campaign which include our welcome series, calibration reminders and more.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The marketing team at Cross is only seven people, so we all pitch in to help on everything. A key part of this role will be mining data from Netsuite for email and to use in automated workflows. In addition, there could be some basic web development required using WordPress. We would prefer this position to be our primary technical liaison between the marketing systems we use and the IT/ES team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Possessing a naturally technical mind, you will have at least two years experience with enterprise level marketing automation software. Experience with Active Campaign is desirable, but Hubspot, Marketo, Sales Force Marketing, Eloqua or any other marketing automation software is fine. Experience with creating complex searches in databases will also be required. Knowledge of the relationship between website-based marketing and email marketing (particularly how each can be leveraged to support the other). Cross uses Netsuite, so experience using the platform would be an advantage. An understanding of how DNS, firewalls, web hosting and other parts of the IT-marketing interface work is desirable. Writing skills are a plus.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Ability to design and send marketing emails using marketing automation software. Ability to craft workflows in marketing automation software. Ability to create advanced searches in a database to customize marketing messages. Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple stakeholders and priorities at one time. The desire to stay at the forefront of marketing automation software developments and implement at Cross where appropriate.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
An agile mind, a quick learner and a problem solver. The ability to work on a computer for 8+ hours per day. Occasional travel between Cross locations may be required, so the ability to drive a company car is necessary.
