Northrop Grumman is in need of an Electrical Engineer for our Ronkonkoma, New York facility. The position will be for either be a level 2 or a level 3.

A high degree of computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and other drawing packages.

+ Possess solid experience sensors, pressure temperature, accelerometers, etc.
+ Experience working with Ethernet based acquisition systems
+ TCP/IP, Modbus OPC
+ Experience in designing and developing process control applications and automation.
+ Experience with ethernet based video
+ Comfort with hands on interaction with various test hardware and tooling, instrumentation and facility support systems.
+ Experience working in a highly regulated industry with strict customer/process requirements.
+ Experience test system design, integration and support.
+ Experience in the analysis of large datasets.
+ Experience in developing, reading and understanding electrical schematics and parts lists.
+ Familiarity with test requirement identification and evaluation.
+ Understanding and application of electrical engineering technical standards, ability to troubleshoot.
+ Ability to function as self-starter.
+ Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings characterized by frequently changing tasks, new priorities and quick responses.
+ Must have good communication skills and be able to write and deliver presentations in front of senior management and customers.

**Job Duties:**

+ Candidate will be responsible for supporting test program activities in the Aerospace Propulsion Laboratory.
+ Under the direction of senior engineering, the individual will be responsible performing a variety of basic engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, or testing of electronic and data acquisition systems as well as developing, creating and modifying computer applications software.
+ Assist with the development, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC process control applications used to operate flow control devices
+ Effectively communicate and portray design approach and functionality to other team members and lab users.
+ Apply theoretical knowledge and electrical engineering technical principles under the guidance of senior engineers to solve basic electrical engineering problems.
+ Create block diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and detailed assemblies.
+ Prepare and present preliminary, critical and test readiness reviews in support of test programs.
+ Development, integration, and documentation of laboratory systems, electrical cable designs and electrical assemblies for test facility.
+ Design, integrate, and troubleshoot electrical designs of a functional system including commercial off the shelf (COTS) electro-mechanical components such as connectors, relays, switches, circuit breakers, etc.
+ Test procedure, script development and execution at the system level.
+ Support test rig/hardware installation, instrumentation, test execution and troubleshooting.
+ Establish requirements and procedures to evaluate purchased equipment or EEE parts. Under supervision, supports the testing and/or evaluation/ validation of one or more elements of an electrical.
+ Assist with the development of review material, reports, documenting and presenting findings.

Level to be hired will be dependent upon experience and education.

**Qualifications for level 2**

+ BS in Engineering & 2 years, OR Masters Degree in Engineering & 0 years, preferably Electrical Engineering degree
+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance

**Qualifications for level 3**

+ BS in Engineering & 5 years, OR Masters Degree in Engineering & 3 years, or a PhD in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering degree
+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance

Salary Range: $82,400.00 - $123,600.00Salary Range 2: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
