The team operates in an agile scrum cycle with direct support from HII engineers and industry recognized subject matter experts. Full stack development is needed on these tools. Our team members are expected to be able to transition between writing C++ and Python, understand algorithm implementation, and work with Python libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, SciKit-Learn. Additional areas will include working with Lidar point cloud data and Image data in python and C++ or in Robot Operating System (ROS)





Essential Job Responsibilities







+ Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.


+ Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of ML algorithms for prototype systems.


+ Understand project requirements; analyzes system capabilities and troubleshoot algorithm designs, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.


+ Prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.









Minimum Qualifications







+ C++


+ Python scripting and libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, Scikit-Learn


+ 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience






Preferred Requirements






Understanding of:



+ ROS and basic functions such as, messages, publishers, subscribers, etc.


+ Docker


+ PyTorch and/or TensorFlow






Physical Requirements







+ Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
