**Job Description**


This position will serve as lead software developer on a team focused on modelling and simulation software solutions. Candidates should be knowledgeable with software architecture/design processes with emphasis in electrical, instrumentation, controls, networks, and automation. The position requires proactive and responsive engagement with all internal and external customers. The position requires an engaging individual who desires to lead and coach junior engineers.


Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.


**Basic Qualifications**


5 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; 0 years with a PhD


**Preferred Qualifications**


This position requires knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFIBUS, MODBUS, CIP, EtherNet/IP, etc.) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SNMP, SSH, etc.) Understanding of Secure software development practices, SDLC processes, emphasis on software configuration management, databases, and various programming languages (C#, C++, JAVA, Ladder Logic, SQL, etc.).
