Northrop Grummans Enterprise Services organization is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Architect to perform key assignments for Mission Systems off-net Engineering and Manufacturing network. **Primary location preference would be Linthicum, MD or Rolling Meadows, IL to support closed areas. This position does not offer the ability to telecommute full time, however**

**when not requested to be onsite for customer support, telework will be available for supporting unclassified resources.**

_This position can be hired as a Principal Engineer Software 3 or 4, depending on the individuals experience and education._

The incumbent will support software development teams through configuration management tools onsite, primarily with ClearCase and ClearQuest support. This technical role requires an understanding of concepts including software support, system administration, cyber security, and information assurance and requires the ability to support a diverse user community in a dynamic environment.

This position will report to the EMSI Infrastructure Engineering Development and Applications Support (EDAS) Manager but will be expected to work independently onsite, directly supporting programs. Primary duties will include providing onsite customer support for CM Systems (primarily ClearCase/ClearQuest but also Bitbucket, GitHub, and other Git applications), working with DevOps tools including but not limited to Atlassian tools, (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible / Fisheye), Jenkins, databases (SQL), and maintaining system documentation, developing infrastructure support procedures, and providing security support. The incumbent will also be expected to support programs directly upon request.

**Basic Qualifications:**

**Requirements for a Principal Engineer Software (Level 3) are:**

At least 5 years of relevant experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems field; 3 Years with Masters

Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS administration

Familiarity with ClearCase and ClearQuest

Familiarity with other Configuration Management tools/services

Proven experience in a customer supporting role

Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and Systems Thinking mindset

Willingness to learn and perform request tasks, respond quickly, work onsite when necessary, and make recommendations based on customer needs

Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction in an Agile environment

Must be a US Citizen and must have the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start date. Once started, must have the ability to obtain full secret clearance

Candidate will be trained on the server-side installation of ClearCase/ClearQuest in a timely fashion

**Requirements for a Senior Principal Engineer Software (Level 4) are**

At least 9 years of relevant experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems field; 7 Years with Masters

Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS administration

Experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest

Experience with other Configuration Management tools/services

Proven experience in a customer supporting role

Willingness to learn and perform request tasks, respond quickly, work onsite when necessary, and make recommendations based on customer needs with little or no training

Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction

Must be a US Citizen and must have the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start date. Once started, must have the ability to obtain full secret clearance

Candidate will be expected to perform server-side installation of ClearCase/ClearQuest in a timely fashion

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Experience with Linux OS system

Experience with ClearCase/ClearQuest

CompTIA Security+ certification

Working experience in ClearCase/ClearQuest

Familiarity with database administration (MySQL)

Experience using Perl, PowerShell, and Windows batch to automate manual tasks

Understanding of server configuration and infrastructure

Superior written and oral communication skills

Ability to work flex and overtime hours if necessary

Active Secret clearance or has been active within the last two years

Salary Range: $96,900.00 - $145,300.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
