Responsibilities:
+ Accountable for executing and driving results on large-scale efforts or multiple smaller efforts and serving as a development lead for most medium and large projects. This includes expertise with application development methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
+ Accountable for exhibiting a strong understanding of client core business functions.
+ Required to support situations in which end user consultation is required to identify system function specifications and incorporate them into overall system design and delivery. Additionally, utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology to achieve technological objectives.
+ Independent work style, requiring little or no guidance by more senior developers. Decisions will make a significant, measurable impact on the business goals for the client organization. During team discussions you will play a significant role with TPMs and engineering managers to determine potential risks to a schedule.
+ Assist in the planning and managing of application development assignments generally involving large budgets, cross functional projects or multiple projects. This includes effectively understanding and analyzing both technical and business risks and impact.
+ Expected to effectively communicate those risks to the business owners, so that they can make informed decisions.
+ Accountable for providing guidance on architecturally significant efforts during the preplanning phase, and ensuring principles and best practices are followed prior to initiation of work. In doing so, closely watch and evaluate Digital roadmaps, including impacts to support upcoming journeys.
+ Publish design review extensions, and provide documented guidance aligned to sprint plans and timelines.

+ Publish design patterns across lines of business and domain commonalities. Drive design reviews for Next Gen Architecture (NGA) and Plan of Record (POR) projects, supporting design principles and best practices.

We are looking for a hands-on product owner with deep system knowledge to create and maintain product backlogs for patterns, reusable services, and libraries to support standards and cloud adoption that powers franchise critical applications for GCB. We are embarking on a journey towards Kubernetes based cloud platforms both on premise and in public cloud with significant re-engineering expected in several services to use cloud native technologies (e.g. Service Mesh) and this role will be a key driver of this innovation.
Key Responsibilities include
Working with cross functional teams and various stakeholders and drive the technical and user requirements and communicate the product vision and features
Create and manage a prioritized product backlog with detailed stories for
for patterns, reusable services, and libraries to support standards and cloud adoption with reusable software components across distributed stack (Java/J2EE, TIBCO), private cloud (PCF/OSE) and public cloud (AWS/GCP)
Available to development team and serve as a liaison with external stakeholders.
Articulate and guide the team in their work prioritization keeping stakeholders business commitments in mind
Develop release roadmap and partner with product manager in sending out reports, metrics, and other tracking artefacts.
Deep technical and good system analysis skills to drive the design and implementation details and collaborate with architects and other technical SME to define the work for development team including testing.
Thorough domain knowledge and ability to serve as SME for internal and external partners.
Collaborate with product manager to translate product features into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
Ability to analyze existing systems and aid in providing specifications for new implementations
Be a liaison to Quality Engineering and ensure the features/ stories delivered by the team are completely tested and attested as per the users requirements and engage in end user sign off.
Collaborate with Regional application development, CTI Services, GCT E&A Developer Experience engineering and GCT E&A Developer & Core Services engineering teams in creating a unified developer experience
Ideal candidate is required to have knowledge/experience in the following areas
Experience in technical product and backlog management using industry standard tools like JIRA
Experience shaping technical products or services
Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize and deliver best in class software service products
Capacity to guide the development, and maintenance of comprehensive set of technical plans
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools (Jenkins, RLM etc)

Exposure in designing and building micro services adhering to domain driven design concepts
Programming experience Java, nodeJS, Python
Exposure to various database and data grid technologies RDBMS, noSQL and able to develop patterns for usage
Knowledge of industry standard interface architectures (REST, SOAP etc) and protocols (HTTP, JMS, AMQP, MQ etc)
Exposure to emerging cloud native patterns and technologies like service mesh, reactive programming, event driven programming, function services etc
Exposure to API gateway and Ingress controller products (e.g. IBM Connect, AWS API g/w, APIGEE, Ngnix etc)
Exposure to Streams processing using Kafka, RabbitMQ, StreamSets/Talend. Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Oozie, Solr,Java/J2EE, data visualization reporting experience using Tableau, Grafana etc is a plus
