**Job Description Summary**

Responsible for multiple projects in a technical domain as a technical expert or internal consultant. Will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge of two or more specialized architecture areas, and across multiple technical or functional domains. This role requires an extensive storage technical and architectural background, including an in-depth knowledge of Dell/EMC, NetApp, Hitachi Data Systems, and other enterprise storage technologies.

**Job Description**



+ Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.

+ Analyze, design, and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

+ Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.

+ Participate in the business-wide Infrastructure architecture and domain governance model.

+ Contribute to the development of software, data, documentation, infrastructure and operational standards, and technology.

+ Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, Total Cost of Ownership, security, regulatory compliance, and application system qualities.

+ Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives.

+ Sponsor and direct consultants which provide additional engineering and/or operational support as needed.

+ Develop, motivate, and direct staff to create a team environment.



**Education Qualification**



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 8 years professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 11 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 13 years of professional experience



Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Storage Platforms and Architecture domain or equivalent IT professional experience



6+ years of experience storage engineering and administration with Dell, EMC, NetApp, and Hitachi Data Systems.



8+ years of experience working in a heterogenous IT infrastructure environment with various IT systems, technologies, platforms, concepts, and applications.



Minimum of 5 years of experience with relevant compute and virtualization technologies (Windows 2012/2016/2019, Linux/UNIX OS, and VMware.



Desired Characteristics



+ Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level

+ Ability to analyze, design, and develop a storage solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.

+ Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; experience with complex solution configurations.

+ Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, migration, decommissioning); ability to provision and budget via capital, operating, and utility expenditures.

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership demonstrating confidence and clarity.

+ Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.

+ Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

+ Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level

+ Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.

+ Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification

+ Strong interpersonal skills and desire to continuously learn, grow, develop new skillsets, and work with new technologies.

+ Proven analytical and problem resolution skills.

+ Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership



Technical Expertise



+ Experience in architecting, designing, and operating large enterprise grade File/NAS Storage solutions, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning strategies.

+ Expert knowledge in storage technologies and architecture including Dell, EMC, NetApp, Hitachi Data Systems, and their support and management infrastructure.

+ Experience in utilizing storage performance, monitoring, and management tools to help optimize storage utilization, operations, and metrics.

+ Experience with TCP/IP network design, protocols, security, and topology.

+ Deep knowledge of compliance, cybersecurity standards, controls, and frameworks such as NIST, SOX, CMMC, etc.

+ Experience with Active Directory, Wintel OS, Linux/UNIX OS, VMware, VxRail, and hyperconverged infrastructure.

+ Competent in ITSM and ITIL, OS, network, and virtual infrastructure operations, datacenter/facilities operations, and supply chain logistics.
