**Sodexo is looking for a dynamic Executive Chef 4 for its Commissary location in Brooklyn, NY**
Ready to Join a Successful team that is changing the perception of dinning at a healthcare Facility. This Chef will be collaborating with the Corporate Chef & Culinary team at the Culinary Center.
Sodexo Health and Hospital team is looking for a creative individual to help develop their new plant forward initiative. In this role we would like this culinarian to have a well-rounded knowledge of restaurant style food that can be scaled for high volume food production. Previous experience working with specialty foods such as Eastern & Caribbean cuisine flavors.in Brooklyn NY.
In this position, you will be the resident expert on culinary innovation, freshness, and local, sustainable food sources. The primary focus will be to drive culinary quality and innovation in all aspects of the food operations within the hospitals with a focus on engaging clients, training managers and employees. Daily responsibilities include:
+ Continual training of a diverse culinary team and creating a culture of quality food that is well presented and alive with flavor
+ Implementation and training of culinary programs/ retail excellence programs to the onsite team.
+ Pro-actively manage the menu/recipe development and planning operations with a focus on health and wellness options.
+ Assists in high end catering events.
+ Providing strategic analysis and solutions to manage product cost and food productions systems.
+ Working closely with Marketing, will implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales of the food contract operations.

+ knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.

**Position Summary**
Directs daily operations of food production, including menu planning, purchasing, ordering, inventory food preparation, post meal analysis and record keeping. Ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
Establishes operating standards, implements and maintains Sodexo and branded concepts standards, creates quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. HACCP, quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel, SoSafe and EcoSure).
Trains other chefs/staff on culinary skills through day to day trainings as well the use of Culinary Foundations trainings and standards, and serves as technical expert.
Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for all aspects of food production to ensure account retention.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years
