The objective of the Field Marketing Manager (FMM), New England Market Senior Advisor is to drive growth and affordability at the local market level via insights driven, targeted marketing that improves local market brand perception, augments sales efforts and accelerates the ability to win locally.
Role Summary
The FMM role will focus on the following:
Develop and execute an integrated local marketing plan that drives market and enterprise growth and earnings objectives and incorporates the appropriate marketing mix of enterprise assets and highly targeted/localized assets.
Understand and be able to articulate the unique business needs and trends at a local level.
Serve as the liaison between the enterprise marketing functions and the local market.
Provide local market insights, opportunities and feedback to enterprise marketing, civic affairs and foundation partners and functions. Be the voice of the field.
Maximize the ROI on enterprise and local marketing programs in market.
Develop insights driven business cases for all local marketing investments.
Measure and report business attribution, outcomes and impact for local market programs.
Manage and track the local marketing budget allocations/expenditures.
Manage special enterprise and field marketing projects as needed.
Contribute to internal/external communications, public affairs, media, social media and events, as appropriate.
Manage continuous improvement and necessary pivots to local market programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor and counselor for the Market President (MP) and the expanded local leadership team. This includes implementing and maintaining a regular operational cadence with the MP and lead team (i.e. MP briefings, leadership & staff meetings, 1:1s, etc.) to discuss the business-aligned marketing activities, solicit feedback for improvement and share programmatic results. Ideally to establish him/herself as a key partner for all market activities.
Maintain strong, positive relationships with matrix partners, marketing partners, buyer groups and external B2B partners in supporting local market marketing opportunities and growth needs.
Manage local marketing administration: budget, invoice processing, operating & activity calendar, measurement tracking, reporting, etc., as required
Ideal candidates will offer:
Familiar with and reside in or near the local market he/she is managing; with ability to travel among key market offices (frequency dependent upon market needs).
8-10+ years of experience developing and implementing a cross-buyer group, local market marketing plans.
Experience in healthcare, financial or business and professional services industries highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree is required, graduate degree strongly preferred.
Enterprise thinker with proven ability to influence across a matrix environment.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize content and prepare effective presentations.
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
Demonstrated proficiency in analytics, reporting and Microsoft Excel.
Experience managing multiple priorities and executing within time, budget and quality standards.
Adaptable, flexible, and able to manage through change.
Goal-oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed.
