Arcadis is seeking a qualified individual for a GIS Analyst position to provide analytical and consulting support for linear referencing projects for US State Departments of Transportation. Projects focus on the design and implementation of Esri Roads and Highways, ArcGIS Enterprise platforms, Business Systems Integration, and visualization tools and platforms

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a qualified individual for a GIS Analyst position to provide analytical and consulting support for linear referencing projects for US State Departments of Transportation. Projects focus on the design and implementation of Esri Roads and Highways, ArcGIS Enterprise platforms, Business Systems Integration, and visualization tools and platforms

Role accountabilities:

Designing and modeling advanced linear referencing systems, including both core components and event datasets.
Analyzing and loading datasets to build the LRS network, including centerlines, routes, and calibration points.
Analyzing and loading datasets to build supporting LRS event data.

Integrating external datasets into Roads and Highways for use in producing Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) and Certified Public Mileage (CPM) reports.

  • Managing GIS data through editing and quality assurance best practices.

  • Developing business processes to leverage LRS functionality.

  • Developing and designing visualization and analytical tools in the Esri GIS environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in the area of GIS, Geography, Computer Science, IT, Environmental Science, or similar or relevant experience/qualifying certification,

2+ years' post-graduate experience in technology/visualization software, or relevant experience/qualifying certification,

This position does require travel. Travel amount may be up to 25%.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified GIS Professional (GISP)

Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc. include:
- Esri ArcGIS products (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, and ArcGIS Pro)
- Esri Roads & Highways applications and enterprise database management
- Linear referencing toolsets
- Extensive familiarity with enterprise database environments, including versioning concepts.
- Demonstrating progressive and analytical problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex reports and presentations.
