The Global Head of Enterprise Resilience Planning is responsible for leading the design, development, maintenance and execution of planning processes across the crisis continuum. This candidate will be a key leader within the Global Enterprise Resilience organization, reporting to the Global Head of Enterprise Resilience. Considering current and future threats this individual will work with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive how the company prepares for potential impact and drives resilience across all Critical Business Services and global processes holistically. Managing multiple teams of senior professionals through senior managers, this leader will be responsible for the maturation of business continuity planning (including critical assets: people, buildings, utilities, technologies and business operations), Operational Resilience and elements of Resolution Planning for shared services. This leader and their team should maintain strong industry engagement to ensure understanding of the strategic direction of Resilience within the industry.
This position requires applied experience in leading a global program at scale with demonstrated experience in: process design and execution, regulatory and executive stakeholder relationship management, enterprise wide change management, business continuity/disaster/crisis management and operational resilience in the financial services industry or other federally regulated industry.
The successful candidate will lead a global team of professionals and will have oversight over Operational Resilience operating committees as well as steering committees. They will require a thorough understanding, as well as provide input into, the strategic direction of the Enterprise Resilience function overall. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and direct the strategic direction and maturation of the Enterprise Resilience Planning program to ensure comprehensive planning across the crisis continuum including evaluating risks (or the threat landscape) to continually align resiliency and recovery strategies to mitigate these risks.
+ Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive business and technology strategies to ensure resilient business services and processes.
+ Understand and apply internal policies/procedures, global laws and regulations and industry best practices with respect to business continuity and disaster recovery, Operational Resilience and elements of Resolution Planning.
+ Enhance traditional business continuity processes including: Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Recovery Planning (BRP), Application/Technology Recovery Planning (TRP) to ensure simplification and alignment with the strategic plan of Enterprise Resilience overall.
+ Define enterprise priorities for continuity planning and recovery of critical business services and their related Impact Tolerances.
+ Oversight over the Resolution Planning team for Shared Services including engagement with senior leaders across Resolution Planning for the company.
+ Support the creation and rollout of a new Enterprise Resilience tool in partnership with a peer team.
+ Partnership with peer teams who have the responsibility of testing and and exercising plans, executing third party resilience, engaging with business and regional leaders, govern and manage downstream tools, metrics and reporting.
+ Understands how own function integrates within the overall organization to contribute to achieving business objectives; requires a good working knowledge of the industry.
+ Impacts the function by exercising control over sizable resources / budget, policy formulation and planning; has significant influence over future strategy.
+ Leads interactions with auditors, risk and control organizations, operational risk management, independent compliance risk management and regulators to monitor and evaluate the ongoing effectiveness and continuous improvement of Enterprise Resilience Planning functions.
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
+ Work with regulatory bodies and build industry connections to stay abreast of best practices to influence and align with the evolving landscape.
**Qualifications:**
+ 15+ years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
+ Demonstrated leadership characteristics, and management experience, including but not limited to the ability to positively influence and motivate a group or individuals to maintain a positive work environment through change. Ability to serve as a role model.
+ Unquestionable integrity and objectivity with the commitment to excellence and the ability to thrive in diverse environments and cultures.
+ In-depth knowledge of operations, technology and business processes with a global financial services organization or other industry regulated by a federal government.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of emerging threats, changes in processes/technology and how they impact recovery and resilience strategies.
+ Experience creating close collaboration with business partners to foster a customer-centric design and development culture.
+ Expert ability to analyze a complex set of data, to extract critical information to determine potential risk to the organization or company.
+ Expert ability to simplify complex problems, processes and organizations.
+ Demonstrated experience with global process design, simplification and execution.
