Job Description

At Intel, the Linux Integration Team within the Super Compute Group is building out and validating tomorrow's software stacks today on the hardware of the future by accelerating our pre-silicon development and validation for datacenter graphics. Responsibilities: Review Hardware Architecture Specifications and Software Architecture Specifications as they are drafted to understand how they will impact software requirements and product capabilities, Debug HW-SW interfaces, Linux kernel ABIs and APIs and user mode modules to troubleshoot failures and suggest SW mitigations where feasible Develop Use Cases and Integration Steps as objectives for Pre-Si validation activities Build out progressively more capable end-to-end validation flows Develop software and automation in support of these activities
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
1+ years of experience in Linux systems level programming experience, knowledge of Linux kernel, device driver modules and architectures especially DRM
3+ years of experience in Linux application development specifically around Linux systems calls, virtualization and automation scripting
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Simics pre-Si modeling framework, Simics transactor development techniques
Deep working knowledge on Linux debugging tools such as gdb, kdb, stack trace, core dump analysis etc.
Knowledge of GPU workload profiling tools such as Intel VTune, GPU performance Analyzer and / or equivalent tools
Knowledge of data center systems architecture and observability technologies such as in-band and out of band telemetry, performance instrumentation etc.
Understanding of Intel's Linux Kernel Mode Driver (i915) and associated User Mode Drivers that make up the foundation of the software stacks leveraged by higher level frameworks
Experience working with hardware simulators and emulators
Experience with software and hardware product development and validation.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, bash), automation frameworks, and software stacks used for High Performance Computing and Deep Learning
Understanding of how to configure the Linux kernel to enable features of interest via kernel configs, command line options, and module configuration

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00
