Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in PCB and CCA design to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This electronics engineer can be at the principal (level 3) or sr. principal (level 4) level. This position will be located in Azusa, CA. This position will repot on-site daily, but we can accommodate partial teleworking upon business/program need.
The successful applicant will perform design and analysis of electronic PCB and circuit card required for Military and Civil space programs. Responsibilities will include requirements analysis and decomposition, sub-system and circuit design, modeling, simulation, and design verification test. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a team environment is required. Focus areas include mixed signal design (A/D converters, digital down converters, D/A converters, mixed signal CCAs, Mixed signal modules and subsystems) including signal integrity and power integrity analysis of design. The successful candidate will need to have experience with digital hardware design (Subsystem/Module digital circuits, FPGA/ASICs, COTS interfaces, subsystem development, System trades, Architecture, embedded processing), embedded systems development (CPLDs, FPGAs, SoC) and test development (Hardware and/or Software test program set generation for testing subsystems, and components). Other responsibilities schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, circuit card assembly part selection, trade studies, and troubleshooting to support anomaly resolution during integration and test. Additional responsibilities commensurate of individual performance and organizational needs.
**Basic Qualifications: (Principal Level 3)**
+ Bachelor's degree in a Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or STEM field and 5 years or related electronics engineering experience, OR a Masters Degree in a STEM field & 3 years of related electronics engineering experience
+ Prior experience with ECAD tools such as Altium, Mentor Graphics Expedition, PADS, Cadence Allegro, HyperLynx Signal Integrity or other equivalent
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
**Basic Qualifications: (Sr. Principal Level 4)**
+ Bachelor's degree in a Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or STEM field and 9 years or related electronics engineering experience, OR a Masters Degree in a STEM field & 7 years of related electronics engineering experience
+ Prior experience with ECAD tools such as Altium, Mentor Graphics Expedition, PADS, Cadence Allegro, HyperLynx Signal Integrity, or other equivalent
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Design experience within Space and/or Aerospace industry
+ Experience with High-Speed digital and optical design
+ Experience with SERDES design
+ Active Secret (or higher) Clearance
Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00Salary Range 2: $125,800.00 - $188,600.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
