We are looking for you to join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. **What Youll get to Do:**
Based in our Woodland Hills, CA office, this position will support senior mechanical engineers in the design of military avionics including inertial navigation and measurement systems and mission computers for military air, land and sea vehicles.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Mechanical design engineering and lead mechanical engineer responsibilities for inertial navigation systems and/or mission computers, including support for existing product lines
+ Creation of innovative designs with high producibility at minimum unit cost
+ Support for root cause analysis and quick resolution of manufacturing line stops and other critical production activities
+ Collaborative work with other engineering organizations, program management, factory operations, global supply chain and Mission Assurance.

+ 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering; 3 years of experience with Masters in Mechanical Engineering; or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Siemens NX
+ Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, drawing creation, tolerance stack-up analysis, etc.
+ Experience supporting Mechanical aspects of Circuit Card Design
+ Experience with mechanical analysis and related tools such as ANSYS and SolidWorks Flow Simulation for structural and thermal analysis
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Demonstrated high degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems
+ Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, willing to learn, experience working in a team environment
+ Experience operating using Agile Engineering methodology and JIRA scrum boards task tracking
Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00Salary Range 2: $114,300.00 - $171,500.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
