Viant is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to manage all paid media efforts across channels, including but not limited to social, search, programmatic and digital direct partnerships. If you're a digital media expert who has a solid background in media strategy, planning & execution, we want to hear from you. This position will report to the Director, Growth Marketing.

Viant is in a high growth stage after completing a successful IPO in February 2021. As the company looks to increase brand awareness/consideration and drive qualified lead generation considerably in the next 3 years, the Growth Marketing Manager has a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team and contribute to evolving our company brand along with driving business results through paid media. As a newly public company, we are evolving into a performance-based culture, and this position will play an important role in proving our media's return on investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the paid media process and be the gatekeeper of all media plans on the Growth Marketing team, from awareness efforts through to lead generation/performance marketing

  • Lead day-to day planning and execution of media campaigns across traditional & digital channels (inc. programmatic, digital direct, branded content, social & search)

  • Recommend sound strategies, executions, and partnerships rooted in learnings & insights

  • Manage media agency of record in the planning, implementation & reporting of paid media channels (except programmatic, which is handled in-house)

  • Work closely with in-house programmatic team to develop and execute programmatic media plans supporting Viant's objectives

  • Partner with media properties on development & execution of branded content programs

  • Prepare and deliver media plan recommendations, presentations, and performance recaps to marketing leadership team and CMO

  • Establish measurement framework across channels, set key metrics along with optimization strategies in partnership with Research & Insights team

  • Recommend testing opportunities and learning agenda to continuously drive innovation and improve performance

  • Manage media budgets in collaboration with the Director, Growth Marketing

  • Stay abreast of new media, ad tech/marketing tech trends; develop points of view on new technologies and marketplace opportunities

  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Creative teams on development of relevant and personalized content/assets required for media executions

  • Manage and grow partnerships with external vendors

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in media strategy, planning & buying. Media agency experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of all digital channels and emerging technologies

  • Experience working with agencies to execute media plans

  • Hands-on keyboard experience in platform managing and optimizing buys through self-serve tools (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, DSPs and ad server software)

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate metrics into insights into action (an expert in finding the stories behind the numbers!)

  • Resourceful, curious, and motivated

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting - the Marketing team is highly collaborative so an individual who can work well across functions is a must

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; high level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strict financial stewardship & highly organized
