Hardware Administrator
GDIT has an opening for a Hardware Administrator position supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) in Chantilly, VA. This is an IT Service Management contract in support of the operation, modernization, expansion, and further evolution of the ARNGs global Information Technology (IT) services including networking, compute, storage, infrastructure, applications, hosting, and program management services. The GECOS program supports the ARNG enterprise IT infrastructure, its Wide Area Network (WAN), authentication and directory services, cybersecurity, application hosting, and associated services. GECOS uses ITIL best practices framework as the basis for IT Service Management (ITSM) model.
The Hardware Administrator will:
Support the full life cycle process of hardware and software within the DODIN-A(NG).
Monitor operational state of compliance scanning tools.
Perform server maintenance and software upgrades supporting scanning tools.
Install or modify network security elements, tools, and other systems as required to maintain optimal coverage and performance, as approved by the Government.
Create and maintain standard tool maintenance design documentation and test plans for new and existing applications and hardware to avoid obsolescence and improve productivity for the user community and Government leadership.
Perform work under supervision, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years managing enterprise IT hardware / software support, maintenance, and licensing
Possess the appropriate baseline certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (CompTIA Security+ or higher)
Possess the appropriate computing environment certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
An active SECRET DoD clearance
Desired Skills and Experience:
Microsoft certification relevant to the environment (Windows Server 2016 or newer, Windows 10)
Experience orchestration with SIEM tools
Experience managing and patchins Windows Server 2016 / 2019
