Sounds like you? HPE Aruba is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, energetic and driven to fill the position of Hardware Architect for transceiver and I/O interconnects. This is a Roseville, CA Edge position. You must reside within a drivable distance of the office and be available when required. Relocation to the Roseville area is available.

How You Will Make Your Mark:

  • You will function as the main technical resource for transceiver engineering and I/O devices on Aruba Ethernet switching platforms

  • You will collaborate with engineering staff, cross-functional partners, and device suppliers to deliver HPE Arubas roadmap for pluggable transceiver modules and cable assemblies

  • You will provide technical leadership, expertise, and guidance to engineering staff

  • You will define and develop methodologies to evaluate, develop, and qualify Ethernet transceiver modules and cable assemblies

  • You will work with device vendors to establish requirements, evaluate, and conduct reviews of test methodology and results

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • You have 10+ years experience in development and systems integration of pluggable modules and cable assemblies

  • You have extensive experience with device-level qualification and hardware/software integration of pluggable transceiver module devices in data communications systems

  • You have strong working knowledge of Ethernet physical layer devices from 1GbE to 400GbE

  • You have hands-on experience with test methodologies for evaluating and qualifying optical and electrical interfaces in transceiver modules, including the use of DCAs, network analyzers, optical characterization equipment, and Ethernet compliance test software

  • You have familiarity with integrated optical-electrical I/O interconnects at the device level and a solid understanding of the electrical interface function/design of the host board

  • You have ability to work effectively as part of a global and cross-functional development team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
