**Overview:**
This new role is part of the ICG Risk and Control team, supporting the Head of ICG Issue Management in ensuring the effective design and sustainable delivery of ICG Transformation control framework commitments. The ICG Transformation program is a multi-year program of work to deliver a best-in-class risk control framework across all risk stripes. The role integrates in-depth specialty knowledge of risk practices, control design and implementation, with a solid understanding of the effective partnership required across the first, second and third lines to successfully deliver control enhancements that deliver a sustainable best in class risk control framework.
The incumbent will lead proactive engagement through the lifecycle of Transformation commitments, ensuring effective check and challenge at the design stage to ensure controls will deliver the required risk mitigation, during implementation and during sustainability to ensure required risk mitigation is achieved. This includes facilitating engagement and feedback into relevant ICG Transformation governance forums.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead ICG QA Transformation engagement across the full lifecycle of ICG Transformational commitments to evolve the risk and control framework of the organization.
+ Act as a key resource for ICG Transformation delivery owners to advise and support on the effective design and implementation of key control enhancements.
+ Provide input, challenge, recommendations and proactive advice on remediation efforts, documentation, and written narratives to assist in successful closure of commitments to time.
+ Review RBCM closure documents (wrappers) for compliance with Program standards.
+ Partner with colleagues to build highly effective relationships across the ICG Transformation program to ensure remediation design and implementation is effectively project managed and executed in co-ordination with second and third lines.
+ Design, execute and report to Transformation owners and ICG senior management on the effectiveness of control remediations prior to submission for independent validation.
+ Partner with other QA groups if remediation ownership is shared across Businesses or functions.
+ Continually drive improvements and efficiency of the ICG QA process.
**Qualifications & skills:**
+ Bachelors Degree.
+ 15+ years experience in Risk and Controls with senior audit experience preferred.
+ Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive.
+ Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively.
+ Self-starting with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
+ Ability to work in a team environment, listen and work well with others.
+ Client-focused and open to different ideas/viewpoints.
+ Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
+ Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability; lateral thinking.
+ Analyze a process and recommend ways to improve design and operating effectiveness of controls.
