Who should apply?


  • Applications are accepted from full-time college students currently attending an accredited college or university to pursue a four-year degree or to complete a master's degree program full-time

  • A four-year degree student should be completing sophomore, junior, or senior year

  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is required to be considered for an internship

Duties and Responsibilities

Erie Insurance offers interns the opportunity to gain experience in several different areas of our IT Division. Below are some of our focus areas.


  • IT Analyst: Assist with data collection, testing and compiling expected results. Works with business to define requirements.

  • IT Administrator: Administers and maintains IT infrastructure and network.

  • Software Engineering: Write basic programming specifications, code computer programs and test and implement computer software systems and programs.

Technology used depends on assignment but may include: C#, Javascript (Mendix), Java, Sitecore, COBOL (among others)

Qualifications

High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Pursuit of Bachelor's degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software preferred.
