Job Description & Responsibilities
Persistent Systems is seeking an FPGA Engineer Intern with experience in ASIC or FPGA development for an exciting opportunity in the design of wireless modems for mobile ad hoc networks. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced team with a focus on a novel FPGA platform, with much scope for research and development.
Position Responsibilities
Experience in FPGA or ASIC design from RTL/HDL through simulation, synthesis, and on-target verification
Experience with VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog and related simulator/synthesis CAD tools
Experience in RTL verification
Understanding and use of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, XGbE, and AXI
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with digital design in Verilog or VHDL on standard ASIC or FPGA
Experience with FPGA tools such as Modelsim/Questa and Vivado
Must have completed one year of master's program in either Electrical or Computer Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale and MicroSemi Polarfire FPGA tool suites
Experience with scripting environment such as Python, Tcl or shell in a Linux environment
Experience programming experience using C, Matlab, or C++
Familiarity with wireless protocols and digital signal processing
