The Java Developer role is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Perform E2E analysis of complex business processes and come up with requirements for automation

+ Provide project lead responsibilities as needed for multiple concurrent projects

+ Resolve problems concerning the projects; contact vendors for support when necessary; facilitate resolution to risks/issues and resolve problems involving clients with optimum speed and efficiency

+ Acts as a technical resource and may provide system support for requirements, testing, and project management tools

+ Responsible for driving technical design/architecture management, product roadmaps with close interaction with Business Analysts, Subject matter experts, Cross Product Architecture and other Product Processors

+ Manage partnership with business and external strategic vendors and ensure that the delivery is achieved within the defined quality and timeline

+ Formulates and incorporates successes and lessons into best practices

+ Contact with users, external service providers, and other technical specialists as needed

+ Work with business and technology to research and resolve issues

+ Participate in meetings with project teams and business stakeholders to understand and/or drive business decisions and requirements

+ Facilitate complex design work, advanced trouble-shooting, performance tuning and process improvement

+ Leverage a solid understanding of Citi software development, project management, vendor management, and production incident processes to create efficient and sustainable work processes


**Qualifications:**


+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years

+ Strong fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis

+ Must have hands on development experience with Java & Spring Boot.

+ Experience with distributed systems and persistence solutions.Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues under time constraints

+ Demonstrate knowledge on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD

+ Highly proficient in programming with Python libraries for machine learning

+ Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras

+ Proficiency in using query languages, such as SQL, Spark DataFrame API, etc.

+ Self-motivated and team player that has the drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to explain your work in laymans terms

+ Exposure to Agile delivery methods

+ Understanding of RPA tools and processes.

+ Demonstrated professional project management skills including prior implementation experience in a complex, high tech environment
