We are seeking a talented Associate to join the J.P. Morgan Payments Strategy & Governance team. This team is part of the J.P. Morgan Payments Transformation & Execution organization, responsible for helping senior management develop and execute their global strategy through:
Corporate development & strategic investments to accelerate execution of our strategy
M&A integration program post acquisition
Strategic execution and process improvement for high-priority change initiatives
Product agility transformation to enable a more integrated product-engineering operating model that supports speed of innovation and accelerated time to market
Strategy & governance
The Strategy & Governance team operates across these transformation pillars and the broader strategic agenda for J.P. Morgan Payments, including priority initiatives related to Onyx / Liink / JPM Coin, APIs / Open Banking, integrated industry solutions (e.g., for marketplaces), and many more. Our lean team is very high impact, working directly with the J.P. Morgan Payments global management team on their top priorities and collaborating across lines of business on the payments priorities for J.P. Morgan Chase broadly (e.g., including Chase). Projects include developing growth strategies, assessing new product and market entry, designing organizational change, and performing strategic business deep dives.

Responsibilities will include:
Lead initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior management of J.P. Morgan Payments
Gather, synthesize, analyze and present project data and findings
Financial modeling and valuation analysis
Execute creative analyses and provide insight to identify issues and arrive at recommendations
Develop strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences
Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports and analyses with broader team and with senior executives
Create and/or contribute to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility
Simultaneously work on multiple projects across J.P. Morgan Payments
Qualifications:
3-6 years of experience from a premier management consulting firm, a payments firm (e.g., in strategy, product management, sales), or an investment banking division (e.g., M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) that preferably covers financial services sector
Some payments experience preferred, but not required. Strong interest in payments required
Ability to work and think independently, strong initiative, and ˜blue collar™ attitude
Diverse problem solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectors
Outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), work well in cross-functional teams
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers
Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)
