Asset Management & Financial Management Technology (AMFM) group is a part of Prudentials Global IT organization. AMFM provides business and technical support across a broad range of actuarial and financial systems for the Enterprise. We are seeking a motivated individual who could thrive in a dynamic environment, is comfortable in contributing fresh ideas, and welcomes learning opportunities to join our team. Working with client management to identify and formulate business requirements, user stories, epics, and system specifications.
Learning and utilizing various programming languages to build enterprise-wide solutions.
Assisting in the design and implementation of systems test plans, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs promptly.
Partnering with clients, end-users, quality assurance, operations, infrastructure, and change management teams as appropriate throughout the development, testing, and implementation processes.
Collaborating with a broader technology organization to ensure solutions meet high technical quality standards and follow software development best practices.
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
Coursework in any of the following is preferable: Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Discrete Mathematics or Programming Languages.
1-3 Years working as a Junior Developer.
Knowledge of one or more of these Relational Database Query Languages is required: PL/SQL, T-SQL, or MySQL.
Programming knowledge in one or more of these programming languages is a plus: C++, Visual Basic, Java, SQL, Shell scripting, and any .NET Framework language (C#, VB.NET, etc.).
Familiarity with Object-Oriented design concepts, data structures, algorithms, service-oriented architecture, or data warehousing is desirable.
Willingness and the ability to learn new programming languages and technologies is expected.

Work effectively as a member of a team in a matrix reporting environment.
Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments.
Experience in Agile delivery methodology is a plus.
