SAIC is seeking a Junior Web Application Developer working full time remotely to support the software design, development, administration, testing, and maintenance of an existing unclassified logistics database-driven web application.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This ColdFusion/SQL Server Intranet-based productivity application currently has 20+ integrated modules that has been serving over 800 world-wide DoD users for two decades. It is expected that this mission-essential application will continue to need software developers for many years to come administering, enhancing existing code, and adding new features and modules using industry best practices and the latest technology available to our team. Continuous improvement of our application and of our developers is important to this team.

NOTE: Travel is not needed for this position except periodic local travel (about once a month) to a DoD facility with a Navy-supplied laptop and an NMCI hardline. Prefer someone local to Crane, IN.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Development experience with HTML, CSS, SQL and JavaScript.

• Development experience with a SQL Database Management System (DBMS).

• Willingness to learn.

• Ability to communicate and work well independently and as part of a small team of developers, database and system administrators, and a project lead.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Some Web Development work experience.

• Development experience with Adobe ColdFusion OR Microsoft .NET OR Java.

• Adobe ColdFusion 2021 development experience.

• MS SQL Server 2019 development experience.

• HyperText Markup Language (HTML) development experience.

• Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) development experience.

• JavaScript (JS) Library experience with jQuery.

• Asynchronous JS and XML (AJAX) development experience.

• Logistics domain knowledge.

• Windows user experience.

• MS Word and Excel or the like experience.

• ColdFusion and MS Office Integration experience.

• Adobe Dreamweaver OR ColdFusion Builder OR Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE) experience.

• Business Analyst or other user interface experience.

• Software Test experience.

• Unit and Functional Test experience.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CLEARANCE:

• Associate degree in Web Development or related degree; Experience in lieu of degree accepted.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen. 

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
