Were looking for an intellectually curious, business-savvy, analytical powerhouse to join the Disney Television Animation Technology team as a Team Lead of Web Based Software Development. (TLWBSD) In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting solutions across the various Disney Television Animation: Productions and Development.
**General** **Responsibilities:**
The Team Lead of Web Based Software Development (TLWBSD) is responsible for technical leadership, project and daily operational management of an assigned group of Web Developers. The TLWBSD works with the Manager of Software Development to set priorities, monitor progress, and meet commitments in regards to DTVAs Web Software Portfolio
A high-level breakdown of the TLWBSDs responsibilities follows:
+ Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned Software Development staff, removing blockers and monitoring development progress.
+ Analyzes processes to improve production software, efficiency, and workflow.
+ Assures that development efforts have synergy across the larger teams goals.
+ Reports on progress, findings and needs.
+ Reconcile short-term vs. long-term needs and help plan Sprints and set priorities for the team.
+ Performs software analysis and data model design consulting.
+ Develops software solutions as needed.
+ Mentors Software Development staff by advising with the support of developed code.
**Basic Qualifications** **:**
+ Minimum 7 years of professional web development experience
+ Experience leading software developers or development teams
+ Experience developing software with backend languages/frameworks such as Python, Flask, Django, PHP, NodeJS, etc.
+ Experience developing software with JavaScript and React or other front-end frameworks (Vue, Angular, etc.)
+ Experience with databases and caching strategies: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.
+ Experience with Docker and Git workflows
+ Knowledge of Design Patterns for Enterprise Level Application Development
+ Able to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to work well individually and collaboratively
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelors or Advanced degreein a technicaldiscipline
+ Working knowledge of the television/animation business
