Garmin International, Inc. is seeking a Web Developerto join our engineering team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to our Aviation business segment with a team focused on providing aircraft performance, weight-and balance and runway analysis solutions to regional and commercial airlines. This Senior Web Developer will be developing software solutions for iPad mobile applications using .NET Core, .NET and C#. We provide the technology and expertise to develop comprehensive, integrated aircraft performance solutions for a safe takeoff, enroute, and landing, delivered to our customers via our applications.



Responsibilities


Essential functions:




  • Develop software inC# and Visual Basic (VB) for Garmin products and/or applications in accordance with Garmin's coding methodology



  • Create functionality for features and take ownership of features as they evolve



  • Perform as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer as you grow in this role



  • Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions



  • Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques



  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers



  • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on some electrical design aspects



  • Work collaboratively and professionally with other Garmin associates in cross functional teams to achieve goal



Qualifications


Basic Qualifications




  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience



  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)



  • Experience necessary to develop moderately complex software inC# and Visual Basic (VB)



  • Demonstrated experience with relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators logic analyzers) and demonstrate proficient ability to capture and document software requirements.



  • Proficient knowledge, utilization and mastery of relevant software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators and logic analyzers)




Desired Qualifications




  • Experience with Xamarin for iOS development



  • Experience with T-SQL Experience with SQLite isoptional.



  • Experience with test automation using NUnit or XUnit,



  • Experience using Selenium and/or Microsoft Test Manager.
