The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company that is responsible for all monetization of contentboth distribution and ad salesand oversees the operations of the Companys streaming services, including Disney+ (including Star and Disney+ Hotstar internationally), Hulu, and ESPN+ and domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED brings together the Companys best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization, with the goal of expanding the footprint of Disneys world-class content and beloved brands and delivering highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world. DMED works in close collaboration with Disneys Studio, General Entertainment, and Sports content creation teams on programming and marketing for the streaming services and networks.


The DMED business is seeking a Finance Manager, Addressable Ad Sales Consolidations to join the team for cross-portfolio ad sales finance support across the media networks within The Walt Disney Company (ABC, Freeform, Disney Channels, FX, National Geographic, DDN and ESPN), Hulu and Disney+, reporting to the Director of Finance. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the newest growth segment for the company. The team works closely with Disneys Ad Sales Revenue and Yield Management (RYM), Research, and Technology teams to deliver strategic, financial and operational goals of the business.


**Job Summary:**


The Manager will partner with the RYM and Research teams to prepare strategic financial plans and provide KPIs and analysis for key forecast periods (annual budget, long-range plan, and quarterly forecasts) for the Digital line of business. This individual will also collaborate with the Ad Platforms team to support the development and implementation of forecasting and planning tools and provide all measurement and reporting related to the Ad Sales business. He/She will oversee the consolidation of addressable team recurring deliverables including Ad Sales Pacing, Rate/Volume analysis, and Forecast/Plan modeling. He/She will lead analysis and insights into digital OI growth initiatives such as programmatic, advanced audience targeting, self-service and inventory optimization and develop portfolio-wide solutions for current and future FP&A objectives.


This role relies heavily on a key understanding and working knowledge of the ad sales business and the departments digital reporting systems. The ideal candidate will be able to easily navigate and clearly communicate between the ad sales organization and the financial organization. A strong analytical background to drive business insights and recommendations with quantifiable impact is needed.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Create and maintain financial models with various data views in support of monetization strategies to maximize yield for digital inventory across programmatic and non-programmatic buys, fixed and variable CPMs and rate cards.

+ Consolidate and drive long-range planning process (LRP), annual operating plan process (AOP), business planning, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis for all components of digital ad revenue across the portfolio.

+ Coordinate with Ad Sales Finance Consolidation team for timely completion of deliverables.

+ Collaborate with Ad Platforms team to develop reporting tools to meet the needs of internal and external partners. Manage dashboard including platform revenue metrics, performance benchmarking, brands, ad-formats, etc

+ Manage weekly sales report for digital ad sales. Assist in leading portfolio-wide business reviews and drive solutions for digital revenue growth initiatives.

+ Manage the day-to-day data and inventory analysis, data reconciliation, ad hoc requests for digital and data driven revenue channels for all stakeholders.

+ Collaborate with Brand Managers, RYM and Research in providing strategic recommendations for inventory and revenue mix optimizations. Consolidate with Portfolio Analytics team on unsold impressions to maximize promo opportunities.

+ Provide support for data-enabled/audience targeted P&L reporting.


**Basic Qualifications:**


+ 3+ years in a corporate finance / business analytics role, preferably in ad sales or media. FP&A experience preferred

+ Advanced Excel abilities (Nested statements, pivot tables, charting, combining functions like Index Match, Offset and Indirect)

+ Demonstrated experience working closely with information systems and/or strong ability to quickly learn new information systems (primarily Business Objects, Google Ad Manager, Operative and Tableau)

+ Experience in SAP, COGNOS, or similar financial reporting tool

+ Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate micro details into a broader summary for different levels of management

+ Executive presence and outside-the-box thinking while working with a cross-section of stakeholders

+ Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Confidence and ability to effectively create and deliver presentations to all audiences up to executive levels

+ Effective manager who leads by example and will mentor a team to meet strategic objectives
