Position Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the development and execution of talent development initiatives aligned to Samsung business initiatives, primarily for Sales and related functions. This positions supports both the Senior Manager & Director of L&D Strategy, with end to end development, operations, management and execution of Sales Academy. Including, Open Enrollment & Team Workshop learning programs across Samsung Electronics America (SEA).
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
Communicate with Learning & Development (L&D) business leaders, management and other training organizations (both internal & external) on a regular basis, to benchmark and identify Competency needs of Best in Class Sales and related functions
Assist in the design, development, delivery, measurement and redesign of curated training programs aimed at optimizing alignment with internal and external best practices
Uncover best practices, opportunities for reducing redundancies and innovative learning solutions to localize training programs
Partner with leadership to recruit subject matter experts (SMEs) and solicit knowledge sharing and feedback to customize course content that is meaningful and applicable to daily activities of SEA Sales and related functions
Collaborate with Senior Manager and operations personnel to create accurate and compelling Sales Academy collateral materials including course description and calendar of events and advertising materials to drive registration
Partner with leadership team to understand course objectives, registration and logistics process in order to drive participation
Assist Operations personnel with Sales Academy operations including registration, database maintenance, IT, creation of invite packages, calendar and scheduling
Participate in vendor engagement/ communications/ management including vendor registration, IT, logistics, support materials, and timely evaluation/ feedback.
Regular on-demand management reporting/ recap including registration progress by team, division & seniority level , course attendance rate & NPS score, KPI training hours, cancellation & rescheduling rate and etc
Ad hoc analysis, reporting and presentations.
Background/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.)
6-8 years experience in L&D Sales Training, Sales, Sales Operations or Sales advisory/support related experience.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Strong MS Office knowledge, especially in PowerPoint & Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, IF formulas, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS). Macro (automation) or coding knowledge a major Plus.
Strong time/ project management skills - ability to work independently (and as a team), under pressure, manage multiple and/ or competing priorities.
Self-driven with a high degree of ownership (flexible, proactive, reliable and responsible).
Excellent and polished communication & organization skills.
The presence and skill of working across different stakeholder groups, including internal constituents and executive audiences.
External vendor management experience.
Skills and Qualifications
Physical/Mental Demands:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity / detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand / finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position.
