Your day to day
The purpose of the role
Lead all aspects of the software development lifecycle including analyzing, coding, debugging, and documenting software; mentor and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Mentor MuleSoft development team, conduct regular one on ones and invest in career growth conversations and strategies.
Communicate, coach, and assess performance in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Provide guidance on technical and architectural direction, methodology, and design to support project initiatives.
Responsible for establishing and ensuring team-level development standards, conventions, practices, and code quality in accordance with established corporate best practices.
Focus on building highly testable systems, including code structure to support high coverage percentages.
Effective time management practices to balance hands-on development and managerial/administrative tasks.
Ensure application diagrams and documentation stay current and relevant.
Partner with product and technical teams to understand stakeholder requirements and translate them to effective solutions.
MuleSoft vendor relationship management.
Adherence to agile development methodologies.
Embrace a spirit of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Metric and Hot Skills
Oversee product development lifecycle and own production delivery of custom development platform Document, publish, and train staff on development standards Develop product feature capabilities according to business requirements Review and improve agile and static code analysis metrics Keep system documentation relevant and accurate
Key Collaborative Network
Collaboration with corporate technology teams on architectural designs.
Partner with product teams to assist in the roadmap initiatives and sequences.
Participation in Agile ceremonies.
Professional development and performance evaluation
What we need from you
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science field and/or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, 3+ years working directly with MuleSoft ecosystems.
Prior experience as hands-on development manager or team lead.
Experience participating in architectural and system designs.
Proficiency with MuleSoft components such as Anypoint Studio, Connectors, Routing, Filtering, and Exception Handling.
SOA design
API development lifecycle and security
Data modeling
Integration experience with Salesforce is required.
MuleSoft certifications are preferred.
