Job Description

Manulife Investment Management is seeking a Marketing Manager, Social Media who will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of brand level social media marketing. As a team player who also thrives as an individual contributor, you will support the growing outbound digital marketing team as a part of a rapidly growing social media function. The person will report directly to the Global Head of New Media & Community Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Development process: works with marketing managers, editorial, proofing and design to ensure strategic content is created

  • Deep knowledge of social platforms - how each can provide a unique opportunity via both organic & paid promotion

  • Tracking, Analytics improvements across organic/paid/employee activations

  • Strong knowledge of using social listening to provide actionable insights

  • Coordination across business lines and regions

  • Content development from copy to design, campaign strategy from inception to analysis

  • Publish and optimize via platform campaign managers or with agency partners

  • Create strong reporting that tells the story of socials value add to the business

  • Provide updates to the team on what campaigns, content and channels are performing

  • Be able to strategically analyze data to inform future decisions

  • Drive innovation & change as platforms and user patterns evolve.


  • Develop trainings, content prompts, and report on program efficacy

  • Partner with the team to conduct trainings for our sales team, including sales leadership

  • Work directly with Executives on their social brand and presence

About You:

The candidate we're seeking is energetic, self-motivated and obsessed with details. They have high expectations of themselves and others and are driven to excellence-take pride in getting things done well and always looking for ways to do them better. They like working with people and have proven themselves an effective communicator and team player who instils confidence and trust among partners.

  • 5-7+ years experience as a digital marketing professional, with a specialty in social media

  • Experience developing and executing creative, successful marketing programs with a focus on digital and social media marketing and KPI analysis

  • Exceptional organizational skills and follow-through - you enjoy multitasking and have an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback that inspires a strong team

  • A self-starting go-getter, you have a demonstrated ability to work on a team, as well as independently in the planning and execution of tasks from start to finish

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • In depth knowledge of social media (paid and owned) channels

  • Experience with social media tools/channels such as: Sprinklr, Linkedin, Linkedin Campaign Manager, Facebook, Facebook ads manager, Twitter, Twitter ads manager, YouTube, Google ads manager, DOMO, JIRA, Box etc.
