We are looking for you to join our team as a **Mechanical Technician 4** based out of **McClellan, CA.**
Performs a variety of duties assisting Mechanical Engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. Drafts detailed drawings for fabrication. Devices, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.
**Essential Function:**
Position requires extensive knowledge of diverse assembly techniques. Successful candidate will have knowledge of structural bonding techniques, including bonding/drilling of composite and metallic assemblies. Ability to read engineering drawings and application of processes, procedures and documents relative to hardware commonly found in the aerospace industry. Selects, mounts, and aligns various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling; plans sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; determines, sets, and adjusts speeds, feeds, and depth of cut; interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. May also monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
+ Must have an current Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly
+ D1.1 Welding Certification
+ Reading/understanding technical drawings and work instructions
+ Proficient use of various mechanical tools
+ Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
+ Experience with measuring devices such as, micrometers, calipers, and/or torque wrenches

Programming in MasterCam version 10 or higher, creating geometry or using Solid Models,
IGES, STEP, DXF files, and 3 dimensional models.
Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance per ANSI 14.5M 1982/1994 specifications to interpret true position and tolerance requirements.
Use FADAL, HAAS, Mazak or similar CNC milling and turning machines as well as using all manual support equipment and inspection tools to manufacture hardware.
Experience with CNC Lathe
Well versed in GD&T
Excellent communicator one on one or in group setting
Productive time management
Able to collaborate and effectively work in a team oriented environment
Mixing and application of adhesives and ablative materials
High pressure pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
Overhead crane operator
Preventative maintenance practices
Salary Range: $70,700.00 - $117,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
