The **Business Strategy and Initiatives Executive** for Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management (PWM), International and Institutional businesses, works with our business partners to lead and support various strategic initiatives across the organization. In addition, this position leads and develops business strategies, leveraging data and analysis to extract strategic insights, and drives implementation by partnering with all relevantstakeholders.



**Major Responsibilities Include** :



+ Lead key, organizationally broad initiatives from concept and framework through design, testing, and implementation and ultimately to field awareness and adoption, partnering with Communication and Marketing associates to ensure awareness.

+ Partner with stakeholders across the organization to drive and implement change

+ Represent the business across broad array of topics and collaborate with key control partners

+ Lead and Coordinate all PWM ACTM activities, especially those relating to key field and home office initiatives

+ Lead and Coordinate all Client Advisory Board activities

+ Lead and Coordinate all PWM Annual Conference activities

+ Develop detailed and specific strategic and tactical plans that drive key business initiatives,

+ Drive execution of key business initiatives by leveraging relationships with key stakeholders and creating accountability

+ Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management and collaboration skills to deliver output of the highest quality across multiple, concurrent projects and tight timelines

+ Effectively challenge the status quo to elevate new/different perspectives and develop innovative solutions to key business challenges



**Key Qualifications for the Role:**



+ Current or previous Global Wealth Investment Management (GWIM) experience required

+ Strong analytical skills, with ability to use data to lead, execute and track results

+ Ability to prioritize and manage work and trade-offs against critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strategic thinker who has an eye for detail, is organized, and can manage multiple programs simultaneously.

+ Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.

+ Acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously with the urgency of immediate demands.

+ Strong partnership, relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills; Success in supporting large-scale projects involving functionally diverse stakeholders.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to succinctly convey information within a compelling narrative.

+ Strategic, logical, and creative thinker with an ability to translate strategy into effective presentations

+ Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with ability to visualize data in a way that makes the story easy to see

+ Intellectually curious, highly motivated self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced environment

_Direct report to LOB Chief Operating Officer or COO GWIM Functional Executive and responsible for leading teams across the set of GWIM COO functions. Acts as an objective advisor to LOB heads across the set of COO functions. Executes business/strategic planning process across sub-lines of business including management of strategic reviews by senior leadership. Drives execution of key strategic initiatives. Leads reporting and analytical efforts to deepen understanding of business economics, client attrition, client profitability, etc. Leads analyses to screen potential acquisition targets and manages business development process. Leads the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of LOB reporting and dashboards._
