**Job Description:**
The Investment Solutions Group (ISG) provides best-in-class investment strategies and solutions for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Bank of America Private Bank clients. Included are Alternative Investments (AI) and Specialty Asset Management (SAM) solutions, which are distinctive capabilities across private equity, hedge funds and real assets (real estate, farm / ranch, timberland, oil / gas, and precious metals).
The AI and SAM Strategic Initiatives and Business Management team focus includes:
+ Evaluation of marketplace innovation, trends and potential implications
+ AI and SAM strategy development and execution to drive business growth and transformation here should we say something like we develop and oversee the 3-5 strategic plan for the AI business
+ Channel and segment management (Private Bank and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management)
+ Integration of AI solutions into Merrills Investment Advisory Program
+ Product pricing revisions and implementation
+ Manage relationship with Marketing and Finance partners
+ Analytics, marketing and communications
Director of AI and SAM Strategy and Business Management will be responsible for:
+ Acting as a thought leader and a lead for key initiatives across all products (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Assets), bringing together individuals from various business units to collaborate through all phases of the initiatives
+ Leading projects from framing strategic problems to executing analysis, driving insights, developing recommendations and implementation
+ Preparing and delivering well-designed presentations for senior management and product approval committees
+ Researching relevant industry developments in Alternative Investments to identify opportunities
+ Engaging directly with key leaders in the Investment Solutions Group to build relationships and influence change
+ Managing and coaching team members
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
+ 5-6 years experience at a strategy consulting firm or strategy function within a large company
+ Very strong problem solving skills; shows creativity in approaching a problem and designing work
+ Ability to lead and manage a project start to finish, self-starter that is accustomed to project work with tight deadlines
+ Excellent analytical skills; ability to independently conduct analysis and drive the so what
+ Skilled in building strong relationships across multiple lines of business and corporate functions
+ Strong communication skills to drive collaboration across leadership and business partners
