Title: Senior Product Specialist Engineer

AMD is looking for an experienced Product Management Engineer to help build, promote, and support the next generation of the Vitis embedded SW development tools for AMD-Xilinxs MPSoC and ACAPproduct lines.

The Vitis tool suite enables the next generation of hybrid Computeand acceleration platforms with a software-driven solution. The Vitis tools provide abstraction while leveraging the flexibility of the underlying programmable logic. The tools come with a software stack which runs on top of the Xilinx Runtime (XRT) powering both Data-Center applications and embedded systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the user experience, design methodology, product features and collateral for the Vitis embedded SW development flow. In this role, you will drive the product roadmap based on new requirements identified through customer interactions; thus, serving as a critical link between the customer and the product team. This includes working with the product marketing and development team on roadmap definition on one hand and working with customers to enable their success through close interaction and collateral (like documentation and tutorials). The candidate needs to be a hands-on technical expert who can interface with key customers to enable their success while evangelizing the product and scaling it for other domains.

You will work closely with your colleagues in the highly seasoned Product Management Engineer team. You will also collaborate with members of R&D, marketing and sales organizations, in the US and other locations around the world. The position is based in Hyderabad, India.

Job responsibilities:

• Define and evangelize development methodology for customers using Vitis Embedded SW Stack, and illustrate best practices via examples, tutorials and demos.

• Defining specifications and propose enhancements and features to solve customer issues.

• Authoring high quality documentation tuned to the needs of the reader for their areas of expertise.

• Help debug and successfully resolve customer embedded system issues.

• Develop and conduct product demonstrations and run benchmarks

• Advise customers on system architecture and how to optimize system level performance.

• Staying current with and championing adoption of latest industry trends and standards, and best practices.

• Summarizing and providing customer feedback to development teams.

Required

• BS or MS in CS, EE, or CE with 5+ years hands on embedded SW debug (Linux preferred) for system based on multicores ARM Processors

• Experience with u-boot, FreeRTOS, bare metal applications.

• Experience in coding and debugging in C/C++, test programs, applications

• Hands-on knowledge of Embedded flows for ASIC or FPGA.

• Service and result-oriented with a fervent desire to improve product and user experience

• Strong written and verbal communication, especially related to technical documentation

• Demonstrated ability to identify technical problems, propose viable solutions, document, and apply technical solutions.

• Excelling in a team environment.

What will set you apart

• Experience as embedded software developer or system architect

• Embedded hardware design and hardware bring up experience.

• Experience with AMD-Xilinx Vivado, Vitis,Petalinux or Embedded SW SDK
