Kelly Technology has a need for a MicroStrategy Reports Developer for our Healthcare client located in No. Cal area.
MicroStrategy developer
6 Months Remote from U.S.
Must have portfolio or work samples.
MicroStrategy developer to lead a new reporting and business intelligence project. We have over 100 legacy Oracle reports to be redeveloped on MicroStrategy. Additionally, we will be developing several clinical and financial dashboards. The developer will provide guidance to the development team on how to best leverage the MicroStrategy platform to meet the centers objectives.
Client has the following data sources for this project:
Oracle 11G database
PostgreSQL database
Clinical Data Repository (CDR)
Data Warehouse with ODHSI OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) on PostgreSQL
Education And Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or scientific discipline
5+ years of MicroStrategy Report & Dashboard Development experience
2+ years of MicroStrategy Architect experience
Document, Dossier, and Dashboard building in MicroStrategy experience is a MUST
Experience designing and executing application objects and schema objects using MicroStrategy desktop
Experience with designing semantic graphs and data cubes in MicroStrategy
Proficient in pixel-perfect report design
Experience in the Health Care domain
Experience in the financial sector is a plus
MicroStrategy Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated mastery of MicroStrategy toolset including Architect, Developer, Desktop, Web, Mobile, Office, Command/System Manager, and Object Manager
Working knowledge of MicroStrategys Semantic Graph functionality is a MUST
Experience developing Data Cubes
Advanced proficiency with SQL, including writing, reading and debugging
Strong communication skills with the ability to gather business requirements and create technical solution design documentation is mandatory
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
Self-motivated and able to multi-task, coordinate and prioritize concurrent tasks
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
Ideal candidate will possess a passion for data discovery and analysis
Background in designing and implementing complex and visually compelling reports and dashboards
Candidates with documented experience developing MicroStrategy reports from clinical data repositories will be given preference
Knowledge of Lucene syntax is helpful
Job Responsibilities
Transform high-level specifications into usable ongoing MicroStrategy reports and dossiers used by finance, marketing, operations and executives to support business management
Maintain and keep up-to-date a report library to ensure underlying data changes dont impact report information
Support and drive the underlying MicroStrategy architecture
Work with end users on the development of their reports
Configure environment to support a user self-service model
Conduct validation and testing of reports, dashboards and analytics to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across the organization
Support ongoing reporting processes
Work to model, extract and load data into a data warehouse
Portfolio
