Overview




i3 is seeking an experienced Navy Training Program Manager to be responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of Virtual Training application development, interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) technology projects, and provide subject matter expertise on Navy training requirements and standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, managing software or systems engineering teams, and interfacing/briefing Corporate Executives and DoD customers. Candidate must be creative, adaptive, energetic, and able to assist in the development of virtual training solutions for weapon system employment.




Responsibilities




Candidate should have experience in Agile software development processes and procedures. You should be able to capture customer requirements and architect a clear vision of product direction. You should possess excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of Interactive Multimedia Instruction a plus. You will work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations. You will conduct product demonstrations and be able to clearly communicate our robust training development capabilities.





The ideal candidate is capable of providing on-site customer interaction, evaluation of GFI, and leadership in the development of courseware design documentation. You will conduct planning short term, mid-term, and long term planning for the business entity and the government programs your team supports. You will coordinate daily tasks and work with government customers, support contractors and Team i3 project and functional leads to ensure compliance with project management plans and integrated master schedules. Other duties include: tracking project costs and schedules, generation and explanation of reports to provide updates to management and Government customers. You will provide team leadership and guidance through design meetings, storyboard creation and software content validation; quickly adapt to changing workloads, collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard. This is a fast-paced work environment with plenty of room for creativity, expression and growth.





Position Location: Orlando, FL


CONUS Travel required: Less than 25%




Qualifications




Required Experience:



+ Bachelors Degree and 12 years of experience required


+ Have experience managing program cost and schedule


+ Have experience managing personnel, with a team size of at least 8 personnel


+ Have experience managing a software develop team


+ Have experience with Agile Scrum development methodology and associated tools


+ Have experience coordinating the efforts of multiple teams towards a common goal


+ Have experience working with DOD contracts


+ Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher


+ Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen



Preferred Experience:



+ Active duty experience with the US Navy is plus


+ Familiarity with Department of the Navy training requirements


+ Familiarity with electronics training


+ Formal experience as an instructor is a plus
