Tetra Tech's commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry and helping them thrive professionally is stronger than ever. We are currently seeking a motivated, articulate, and dynamic Offshore GIS Analyst (Mid-level) to support our offshore energy projects and programs.
The successful candidate will have experience with ArcGIS and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting multiple offshore projects in a team-setting. A willingness to learn to leverage existing systems, templates and workflows is key. This individual will be detail oriented and will be asked to manage extremely large datasets within the confines of stringent agreements with clients.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with GIS team, subject matter experts, and other project managers and personnel to support a wide range of offshore energy project needs including map production, spatial and tabular analysis, and other GIS support.
Prepare hard copy and electronic figures and field maps in ArcGIS.
Perform geospatial data management, analysis, and documentation, including designing geodatabases and schema.
Set up, collect, download, and post-process GPS data from a wide range of sources, including ArcGIS Online.
Gather, compile, migrate and convert data sets for project needs from a variety of internal and external sources.
Perform quality assurance and review geospatial to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Minimum Requirements:
A BS or BA degree or higher in GIS/Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Marine or Earth Sciences, or related field.
3 to 5 years of experience working with ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop/ ArcGIS Pro.
Experience using geoprocessing tools and performing GIS data analysis.
Experience supporting coastal, maritime, or offshore projects including offshore wind, telecoms, transmission, oil & gas, ocean data acquisition, and/or marine survey.
Experience researching, acquiring, and using offshore/marine geospatial data to support GIS analysis.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, cartographic map creation, ESRI ArcGIS Software, Google Earth Pro.
Proficiency with ESRI's field data collection applications such as Collector, Field Maps, Survey123 and ArcGIS Online.
Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Server/Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, Python/ArcPy, ArcGIS Model Builder, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst extensions.
Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated and willingness to learn, detail oriented.
Ability to handle multiple assignments on timely basis to meet deadlines.
Able to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate with clients and give status updates/recommendations.
3 to 5 years of professional experience with a pattern of progressive achievements, preferably as a consultant or supporting offshore/marine projects.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Desired but not Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of ESRI Applications Web Appbuilder, StoryMap Builder, Experience Builder.
Working knowledge of Apple IOS and Android Operating Systems.
