JOB DESCRIPTION
The Operations Cost Accountant will be a key partner to the program manager and Sr. Cost Accountant. This is an onsite role and will be deeply involved in daily support of strategic programs. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter and team player who is focused on continuous improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnering with program manager to provide cost accounting support to strategic program
Responsible for timely issuing monthly billing and associated costs of sales for strategic program
Support the development of bill of materials and routings for new product development
Ensure inventory is transacted timely and balance sheet accurately stated
Support the consolidation and analysis of operation's key performance indicators
Assist the Sr. Operations Cost Accountant in other areas of the accounting department as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment, operational and project cost accounting
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; strong skills in Excel required
Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred
Ability to work with all levels of personnel including senior management and key customers
Excellent organizational skills desired
