The Senior Accountant is accountable for various aspects of financial accounting, reporting and financial management of the Manufacturing Operations for the Eighty Four site. In addition to providing financial reporting, planning and analysis support for the site, this person will support the day to day process for AP, AR, CAPEX and cash management. The position relies heavily on analytical abilities and experience to sort through data and prepares meaningful information to assist management with decision making, financial deliverables, and business performance metrics and reports. This individual will assist in carrying out the company's financial plan; it's internal controls; the maintenance of its financial records, and the preparation of various financial reports. This individual will report to the Site Controller.
Assist with developing, maintaining, analyzing and reporting operating costs
Interaction with operations and material resource planning to ensure Bills of Material are accurate and up to date
Assist with analysis of labor, material and overhead costs against standard and budgets
Oversee and support the accounts receivable, accounts payable processing and reporting
Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipts of revenue and credit limit management
Oversee the reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
Fixed asset management, including capital budgets and spending, sale/scrap of equipment and tracking depreciation
Assist with various tax inquiries and reporting
Perform month-end financial close process including journal entries, account reconciliations and corporate reporting requirements
Maintain key account reconciliations and documentation to meet audit and SOX requirements
Provide support during physical inventory count and investigation of book to physical variances
Identify and implement finance/accounting changes to improve productivity and reduce cost. Finance/accounting practices, procedures, systems and the department work culture must include the core values of accuracy, integrity, honesty and regulatory compliance
Monitor working capital requirements to best utilize location assets. Actively maintain financial controls to provide advance notice of possible non-compliance or developing issues
Deliver all required finance/accounting data accurately and on time. Ensures that all location finance/accounting records and related data is safely retained and "backed up" each business day
Assist with timely and accurate preparation of the location budget/forecasts
Work with the Company/External Auditors to support annual/periodic audit activities
Remain aware of legal and regulatory changes and similar new developments that affect location finance/accounting operations
Perform special projects upon request

Maintain membership and active involvement in appropriate professional organizations for the benefit of the company and the employee. Maintain a self-improvement program through participation in professional associations, attendance at conferences and seminars, completion of course work and readings to continue to develop finance/accounting expertise and to continue to develop leadership and coaching skills.
Requirements
BS Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
Advanced Finance degree, CPA or CMA desired.
2-7 years of finance/accounting experience required.
Career record of success in finance/accounting with continued increased responsibility.
Comprehensive experience with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system or the equivalent required. Microsoft Navision experience desired.
Demonstrated ability to work productively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Demonstrated proficiency with customary PC office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
