PGIM O&I provides the operations and technology support that contributes to PGIM being a world-class investment manager. We supply transaction-level support, generate and report investment results and ensure that our investment results are accurately reflected on our books and records.
The Investments Operations organization is part of PGIM O&I and provides recordkeeping, accounting, reporting and technology services for the investment portfolios supporting the Insurance Companies. Additionally, we support all investment data for the Chief Investment Officer and the Chief Risk officer for Prudential.
The Regulatory Reporting Team in the Investment Ops Organization is looking for an Associate Manager to support the Statutory reporting of the Securities team. The group is responsible for providing accounting, financial reporting, and recordkeeping support for Prudential and its subsidiaries. The financial reporting is performed on a Statutory basis. You will specifically be responsible for managing and completing the reconciliation and reporting, of Bond & Equity security positions and transactions by utilizing the PAM Investment sub-ledger system, and the General Ledger (Oracle). You will also be accountable for supporting the implementation of changes in accounting rules and practices as appropriate for the various portfolios.
Supervising a staff of 3 who functions include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual Statutory reports, such as:
1. Monthly NAIC rating process
2. Monthly subledger to ledger proofs
3. Monthly Market value reconciliation
4. Monthly AVR/IMR and RBC submissions to an internal business partner
5. Quarterly Schedule D, DA and D1B, General interrogatories and Notes to financial submissions.
6. Annual Rating agency surveys (Fitch, S&P, etc.) and footnote disclosures
In addition, as the associate manager you will also be responsible for:
1. Supporting the manager in ensure new enterprise and business unit projects are successfully integrated into the workflows of the group
2. Completing various ad-hoc requests from our internal clients and senior management
3. Support the collection and submission of the information for both internal and external audits.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Experience supervising a team that includes managers of people and staff team members
Basic Statutory accounting and reporting knowledge for Bond and stocks for both General account and Separate account entities.
Assist in providing supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Overtime is required during peak reporting periods
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..
Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger is a plus
Knowledge of investment accounting and of various investments instruments
High level of self-motivation and dedication
Strong attention to details
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Client focused and results oriented work ethic
Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
