Stella-Jones seeks an Inside Sales Rep to be a part of our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position does not do any cold calling. As an Inside Sales Representative you will processes orders, prepares quotes, bids and contracts as well as handling changes as they occur. Answers incoming calls and works directly with customers to answer questions and maintains a strong business relationship. Works with production plants to ensure order delivery schedules meet customer requirements. Assists Regional Sales Managers with quotes, sales history and marketing information.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enter quotes and orders into ERP system

• Work closely with customers to answer inquiries

• Provide quotes and assist Regional Sales Managers

• Help coordinate shipments with plants and Transportation Department

• Review bid packages to ensure completeness

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Conduct weekly order status meetings with assigned manufacturing plants

• Update orders with revised delivery dates

Qualifications:

• Proficient in computer skills and knowledge of software programs, Excel, Word, Office & ERP systems. Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA a plus
  
  

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task and work at problem solving

• Excellent knowledge of railway timbers, products and services

• Knowledge of Class 1 Railroads contracts and operations

• Knowledge of treating facility operations

• Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude with exceptional attention to detail.

• Capability to work in a team environment and be a good team player providing backup support when required

• High School diploma with vocational school or some college courses preferred. Preferred areas of study include Marketing, Business Administration or Accounting
