Design, analyze, and/or test innovative instrumentation and diagnostic systems for turbomachinery and hot gas path components for aviation and industrial gas turbines.
Apply your knowledge of aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical design to invent the next-generation of aero-thermal instrumentation and diagnostic systems for harsh environment operation.
Work in a multidisciplinary team environment to solve challenging aero-thermal diagnostic problems.
Patent your inventions and develop a record of publication via conferences and peer reviewed journals.
**Required Qualifications**
Doctorate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline with 1 or more years of experience
Demonstrated experience with aero-thermal instrumentation and diagnostic methods, such as IR, LDA/PSP, Schlieren, FRAP, hot wire/film
Fundamental knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer applied to cooling components or systems in high temperature/enthalpy environments
 Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals at the Masters level for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
