A Co-op term with Intel of Canada's Ethernet Products Group is a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience in ASIC IP Design verification for the next generation of networking products. As a member of our Silicon Engineering team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting high-performance NIC projects.
Does the idea of creating state-of-the-art UVM Testbenches, Bus-Functional Models, Tests for next generation network interfaces appeal to you? Build the foundation for ASIC IP Verification career with one of the most advanced engineering companies in the world. Learn advanced techniques from industry experts that solve performance and feature challenges, in areas such as hardware interfaces and complex protocol stacks. Work alongside local and remote team members in a collaborative environment as you participate in the road to productization.
We are looking for enthusiastic students with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving ability, a desire to learn and a good general knowledge of Digital Design, ASIC verification methodology.
Employees are encouraged to work remotely due to Covid-19, all new hire orientations will be done virtually. This is subject to change and employees deemed as essential workers may be required to work on-site.
Qualifications
Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination internship experience and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or in a related field of study
General experience of digital design, CPU architecture
Experience in debugging
Experience with project-based teamwork
Verilog/SystemVerilog programming experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience verifying complex designs both at the component and full chip level
Experience in architecting and developing testbenches and verification components like bus functional models and scoreboards checkers
Experience in SystemVerilog based UVM, OVM, VMM or related object oriented, and coverage driven ASIC verification methodology

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
