Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for **a Principal CNI Engineer** / **Sr. Principal CNI Engineer** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Melbourne, FL** .

_**This position may be filled by either a Principal CNI Engineer level or a Sr. Principal CNI Engineer level based on the qualifications listed._

The CNI Engineer is expected to be a highly motivated self-starter with an ability to operate effectively on a team of engineers and technicians. Daily activities include evaluating electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and testing products. Specific tasks performed in this role are requirements management, system integration, test plan development, and test execution of a weapon system throughout the entire development, demonstration, and production phases.

**Basic Qualifications:**

**For Principal CNI Engineer (T03):**

+ Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, OR a Masters degree with 3 years of experience, OR PhD with 0 years experience in the same.
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher
+ Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)

**Basic Qualifications:**

**For Sr. Principal CNI Engineer (T04):**

+ Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of related professional/military software and/or systems engineering experience, OR a Masters degree with 7 years of experience, OR PhD with 4 years experience in the same.
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher
+ Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Active Secret clearance with access to Special Program
+ Current/Active Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)
+ Experience with communication systems
+ In-depth knowledge of governing standards to include UAI Platform-Store ICD, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and AS5653

Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00Salary Range 2: $108,600.00 - $135,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
